The missing frame occupied a large space in the workshop. 🛠️

THE JOBS THAT WAITED 🛠️
Nibble spread the returned pieces where Sora could see them.
The shortened end lay in the middle, its old peg hole still smooth. Around it, three pegs and one joint looked like the beginning of a frame. They were not.
“How long for another?” Sora asked.
“New straight material has to harden. Then shaping. Then fitting.”
Nibble showed her the outer-bank work that had depended on the travelling platform. A sagging store rack could be unloaded now, but not rebuilt from the same working position.
“The nursery flow?”
“Separate. That repair is holding. This is carrying and storage.”
Sora chose the immediate jobs. The rack would be emptied, supplies divided into smaller baskets, and the farther repairs delayed.
TurboTAD spent the afternoon shifting those baskets with Nibble.
The loads were not especially heavy. There were simply many more journeys without the frame. At the fifth crossing, his shoulders ached in a different place from yesterday’s carrying.
“That one stays low,” Nibble called.
TurboTAD put the basket where he pointed.
By evening, the store was safe and smaller. Across the workshop, the scrap with the peg hole remained on the shelf until Nibble decided what use it might still have.
