The following morning, TurboTAD and Zale visited the chamber. Zale squeezed through the high gap to fetch food from Pip at the landing, returning after a short rest.
“Nibble says the frame isn’t a table.”
TurboTAD was examining the worn Builder fitting. He touched the key through his harness but left it fastened there. Its metal stayed still and dark.
They took the food back along the corridor. Vael added their visit to his notes while Finley asked for another full sequence at the teeth.
“Yesterday’s long return came late.”
TurboTAD checked the light and what Zale had brought. Pip knew where they were.
“One more.”
