WHAT HOME HAD SENT 🌿

Vael and Brink reached the landing late the following day. Their journey from the nursery had begun after breakfast and included two rests with the heavy bundle.

Brink stayed to sort the supplies and take charge of the landing. Vael brought smaller loads through the service gap.

Sora’s instruction came with the first: the builders could choose what their work required; Pip could decide what Glint needed. They would bring the account home afterwards.

Nibble showed Vael the dismantled frame and the proposed supports.

“These won’t come back.”

Vael marked the rails on Sora’s list. “I’ll make sure she knows.”

Last came Mira’s gift.

Glint held the sweetroot for a while before breaking a small piece off for TurboTAD.

“She sent it for you,” TurboTAD said.

“And I’m giving you this bit.”

They ate while Vael described the nursery. The balancing passage was working. Sora had inspected it herself. Mira had beaten Brink in a shadow race, and Brink objected to every explanation except hers.

“What was hers?” Glint asked.

“She swam faster.”

Glint smiled around his mouthful.

Vael lowered himself beside Finley. Finley moved his rolled copy out of the way to give him room.
