The sweetroot vanished before TurboTAD could reach for it. 🌊

WHERE THE STONE BROKE 🪨
The food strap snapped.
Mira’s wrap spun away, opening as it went. TurboTAD glimpsed its carefully folded corner before Krail’s reach forced him sideways.
Zale shoved a loose shell into the nymph’s path. Krail lifted one leg over it. In that moment, Vael led them between the mineral teeth.
Glint turned to make sure Finley had followed.
The stone shelf beneath his flipper cracked.
Krail had struck it from the far side. A loose piece tipped, trapping Glint’s left flipper against the fixed rock below. The nymph’s hook landed on top of the broken edge and pressed it down.
Glint made a small, shocked sound.
TurboTAD doubled back. Finley was already beside Glint, the loose end of his field strip streaming behind him. The returning wash wound it around a mineral tooth.
“Don’t pull,” Finley said. “Turn your body this way.”
Glint tried. The pinned flipper did not follow.
Across the gap, Krail’s head rose. His other legs held him against the far floor; the hook kept the loose stone clamped onto Glint.
TurboTAD found the slab’s longer edge projecting on their side of a fixed ridge. There was room beneath it for his flippers.
He pressed his tail against the firm bank and took hold.
