Krail waited for TurboTAD to choose. 🌿

THE OPEN WATER 🌊
“You saw me this time,” Krail said.
Glint shuttered the lantern against his harness. TurboTAD moved between the nymph and the others, his cold booster pressing against his back.
“The chamber,” Vael said quietly.
It lay beyond the mineral teeth. Its low entrance would admit them, and the small high gap reached Pip through the bank.
Krail shifted towards Zale. TurboTAD shifted with him.
The nymph stopped.
“You do that every time?”
TurboTAD saw his gaze travel from one swimmer to the next. Krail was not merely choosing the nearest.
“Vael, lead. Choose the crossing.”
Vael took them towards the shortest covered run. Finley followed, holding the half-rolled strip close. Each time he needed a flipper to push past stone, another loose fold escaped the roll. There was nowhere to stop and fasten it.
Glint came inside the group. Zale watched below them.
Krail let them gain half a length.
Then he came along the floor. Short weed hid his legs, but not the sand they disturbed.
“Below!” Zale shouted.
TurboTAD turned as a hooked foreleg swept up beneath his food wrap.
